PEEK Plastic Sheets & Materials in Minneapolis, MN
Material tradenames include SustaPEEK with Victrex450G™ resin, Ketron® PEEK 1000, TecaPEEK™, ZL® 1500, & Unitrex.
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is a semi-crystalline, thermoplastic high-performance material, and is characterized mainly by its very good mechanical properties and exceptional dimensional stability, even at high continuous operating temperatures of up to 480°F. PEEK materials are suitable for a wide range of applications with demanding operating conditions. PEEK grades offer chemical and hydrolysis resistance similar to PPS, but can operate at higher temperatures.
PEEK carries a V-0 flammability rating and exhibits very low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame.
Available in Sheet, Rod & Tube - colors are natural (tan) and black.
PEEK Glass-filled
Material tradenames include SustaPEEK GF30, Ketron® PEEK GF30, TecaPEEK™ GF30, & Unitrex.
The addition of glass fibers significantly reduces the expansion rate and increases the flexural modulus of PEEK. This grade is ideal for structural applications that require improved strength, stiffness or stability, especially at temperatures above 300°F (150°C).
Available in Sheet & Rod - colors are natural and black.
PEEK Carbon Filled
Material tradenames include SustaPEEK CF30, Ketron® PEEK CA30, TecaPEEK™ CF30, & Unitrex.
30% Carbon Filled PEEK contains carbon fibers which enhance the compressive strength and stiffness of PEEK, and dramatically lowers its expansion rate. It offers designers optimum wear resistance and load carrying capability in a PEEK-based product. This grade provides 3½ times higher thermal conductivity than unreinforced PEEK -- dissipating heat from the bearing surface faster.
Available in Sheet & Rod - black in color.
PEEK Bearing Grade
Material tradenames include SustaPEEK MOD, Ketron® PEEK HPV, TecaPEEK™ PVX, & Unitrex.
Carbon fiber reinforced with graphite and PTFE lubricants, our newest grade of PEEK offers the lowest coefficient of friction and the best machinability for all PEEK grades. An excellent combination of low friction, low wear, high LPV, low mating part wear and easy machining, make it ideal for aggressive service bearings. Available in Tube
